For years I have encouraged solo artist friends to make recordings like this one. A record of what they do live, but recorded in the studio. I have been quick to give this advice but until now I have never taken it. So here are 13 songs performed as you would hear them live, but without me stopping in the middle of songs to tune or make wise cracks. I'll save that for another disc.

The Craig Carothers Trio

featuring Gary Ogan and Tim Ellis

Trio was recorded in one evening in what used to be White Horse Studios. We set up in the afternoon, like we would for any performance, then placed microphones on the guitars, voices, piano, and room.
